It has been two years since Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released and with a third entry in the series supposedly on the way, fans are feeling conflicted about the next step in the Doctor’s journey.
Benedict Cumberbatch snatched up the role of famous-neurosurgeon-turned-great-sorcerer back in 2016 with the release of Doctor Strange which was followed six years later with the sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

With Doctor Strange 3 set to supposedly enter production in the next few years, there's very little we know about the project, but according to a recent comment by the Marvel actor, Strange's journey is just beginning.
Speaking to Variety at the Red Sea Film Festival earlier this week, Cumberbatch was asked about Doctor Strange and confirmed that he was far from done with his portrayal.
He called the superhero a “complex man motivated by a need to control everything at any cost”.
“I am interested in seeing where these costs take him,” he said. “There is a lot more to play and it’s very exciting.”

He claimed that the key to success for Doctor Strange was being able to tap into his spirituality and make him more than “a bit of a misogynist and an arrogant sod”.
“[His spirituality] was the key to success,” he continued.
“It was something we hadn’t seen in the MCU, a whole new ground. Also just what he brings in terms of harnessing power through sheer will. That is a superpower and, as an origin story, it is pretty rich.”

“He’s gonna become a villain,” user Maleficent-Room-408 said.
GrandpaFlip was unhappy with Cumberbatch’s comments and said: “'He's a complex man motivated by a need to control everything at any cost.' F**ing, no? That was resolved in the last movie when he learned he didn't need to be the one holding the knife.”
It seems the plans for Doctor Strange 3 are causing mixed reactions from fans but with the movie still being in its early stages, it is good to remember that things could change when the sequel eventually begins filming.
