MCU fans are just realising that one actor has played four different roles across four different films. One actor, four roles, and unless it’s pointed out, it’s easy to miss.
One of those roles is in the latest MCU blockbuster, Deadpool and Wolverine, which has been doing big numbers at the box office since its opening weekend.
Deadpool and Wolverine features a huge number of cameos and jokes pulled from across Marvel history
The film finally brings Deadpool over to the MCU, while also bringing back everyone’s favourite mutant, as Hugh Jackman came back for another turn at Wolverine.

During the film Deadpool and Wolverine find themselves in The Void, with a bunch of other Deadpools and one of those is Headpool, voiced by Nathan Fillion.
Fillion also appeared in all three Guardians of the Galaxy films, playing a different role in each outing.
Of course, this technically doesn’t beat Stan Lee who played a role in every film until his passing, but Fillion is somewhat prolific for Marvel.
He appeared in the first Guardians film as a monstrous alien who threatened Star-Lord in prison before Rocket and Groot gave him a stern talking to.

Then, in the sequel he featured in a deleted scene playing the in-film actor Simon Williams who goes on to become Wonder Man.
Fillian hasn’t gone on to play Wonder Man, however, that role went to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II instead, and will appear on Disney+ soon.
Lastly, the long-time collaborator of James Gunn turned up in the third Guardians of the Galaxy film, now playing a more substantial role in Master Karja, working alongside The High Evolutionary.
Whether the actor appears again in another Marvel role is hard to say. James Gunn has now jumped over to DC where he’s helming their DCU, so perhaps Fillion will find himself a small role in Gunn’s Superman film which has just finished filming.
