Marvel's latest R-rated MCU project is giving us a properly terrifying villain

Marvel's latest R-rated MCU project is giving us a properly terrifying villain

Terrifying things await the Man Without Fear

Daredevil: Born Again is the one Marvel Cinematic Universe project that I’m actually excited for, especially after the new villain reveal.

In terms of a rogues gallery, the Man Without Fear is lacking in a long list of villains, with Kingpin, Bullseye and The Hand being his big three.

All three of these foes were expertly adapted in Netflix’s Daredevil, the trailer of which can be seen below

With Daredevil: Born Again now on the way we can expect to see a few more villains enter the fray, one of which being Muse, who’s without a doubt one of Marvel’s most disturbing villains to date.

It’s none other than Muse, the twisted graffiti artist who uses people’s blood to create his artwork.

Muse first appeared in Charles Soule’s Daredevil comic run, and was designed by artist Ron Garney, instantly becoming a recognisable character in the hero’s rogue gallery.

The behind-the-scenes footage of Daredevil: Born Again has featured several pieces of art drawn by Muse, though presumably before he started using a more gory substance as his paint.

The trailer for the show that was played at D23 also showed off the villain in a wonderfully comic accurate outfit.

While his place in the new TV series is yet to be made clear, it’s been suggested that he’ll actually be a foil to both Daredevil and Kingpin, sparking an unlikely alliance between the two to take the villain down.

Daredevil: Born Again also welcomes back Matt Murdock’s best friends Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, in addition to bringing back Frank Castle, aka The Punisher.

The trio will be played by Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Jon Bernthal respectively..

While fans have been assured Daredevil: Born Again will release on Disney+ sometime in 2025, an exact release date hasn’t been shown, and the first trailer is yet to be officially released onto the internet.
