Marvel fans are heartbroken that the beloved Spider-Man is still being ignored in what looks to be the final season of a popular MCU series.
When it comes to popular characters in the Marvel world, there are not many bigger than Spider-Man, whether it’s in comic books, animated TV series, video games or movies. Simply put, we can never get enough Spidey.

Before the MCU was a thing, Peter Parker was played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to great success. However, when Tom Holland’s Spider-Man was introduced in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, at least in terms of being on the silver screen, the beloved Marvel character had become more popular than ever.

That being said, with Sony owning the rights to Spider-Man when it comes to movies, featuring the ever-popular Marvel character in the MCU (owned by Disney) has never been a straightforward process.
Later this month, we’re being treated to the third and final season of the animated series What If…? on Disney Plus. Which is a damn shame if you ask me, because on paper, What If…? is a series of infinite possibilities which is why some fans are baffled over it only lasting a few seasons.
Fans will be hoping that season three ends with a bang and a perfect way to leave fans happy would be for Spider-Man to be included once more, whether it’s Peter Parker or Miles Morales. Sadly, that wishful thinking will not come to fruition.
“'What If...?' Season three full cast list,” shared Redditor Colton826, listing the star-studded team of actors that will be part of the final season. At the time of writing, Spider-Man has only featured in the zombies episode from season one.

“With Hudson Thames not on the list, that means we won't have Spider-Man in this season, so the Zombies episode will likely be Spidey's only What If…? appearance,” added the disappointed Colton826.
“What if... we only made three seasons with only one Spider-Man appearance?” said a sarcastic Endiaron.
“At least they used him in one of the cooler episodes. Hopefully, he appears in the Zombies show,” replied an optimistic reddituser6213, referring to Marvel Zombies expected to arrive on Disney Plus on 3 October 2025.
It’s a shame we’re not getting more Peter Parker in the final season of What If…? But at least we have the upcoming animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to look forward to on 29 January 2025.
