Marvel fans rejoice as Hulk finally exacts revenge on Thanos, 6 years after Infinity War

Still waiting for that big-screen rematch though

When Hulk got obliterated by Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, it understandably rubbed people the wrong way. Luckily, the big green hero has finally got his own back.

During the opening scene of Infinity War, we see Hulk attack Thanos before getting hopelessly outmatched by the mad titan, much to the horror of Thor and Loki who are watching the fight unfold.

Soon we’ll see the addition of another hulking monstrosity in the MCU, Red Hulk when he debuts in Captain America: New World Order

Now a lot of people hated this fight due to how weak it made Hulk look, especially after he dominated the arena on Sakaar for so many years before that.

Personally, I liked the outcome as it was a perfect showcase of power vs technique, and set Thanos up to be the dangerous combatant and tactician he is.

For those who still feel bitter about the one-sided fight though, you'll be pleased to hear a new comic series for Hulk finally gives us the rematch we’ve been waiting for.

In the first issue of The Incredible Hulk Annual, we see the monster almost effortlessly dispatch Thanos, preventing him from getting the Mind stone in the process.

Thanos is overwhelmed by the sheer size and power of his opponent, proving once against that Hulk is the strongest there is.

After that loss in Infinity War and a frankly poor use of the character in following projects, fans have eaten up this comic issue.

“Finally! A real showing of what Hulk is truly capable of. I loved it!” said one fan on Reddit, reacting to the latest issue.

With Avengers: Secret Wars coming up, hopefully there’s scope for a rematch when both Hulk and Thanos are on more level-footing, or another opportunity for MCU Hulk to show-off what he can really do when he’s worked up.
