The first teasers for Marvel’s MCU slate of films and TV shows recently dropped and gave us a good look at what’s to come in 2025.
The sizzle reel showed of various projects including Daredevil, Iron Heart, and Wonder Man, and fans are thrilled to see an MCU legend return in the latter series.
You can catch the footage of Wonder Man in the Disney+ sizzle reel with a host of other shows
Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul Mateen in the lead role of Wonder Man, and while this is exciting on its own, Ben Kingsley is making a return to the MCU, not seen since his appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Fans will also remember his first appearance in Iron Man 3, both times appearing as Trevor Slattery, a Hollywood actor out of his depth.
Fans are celebrating this return over on Reddit with one member saying, “Trevor is back?! I’m so in.”
Little is known about how Kingsley’s role will impact the show as his character is a slippery one to pin down.
Regardless, it should make for an interesting show to have this actor turned superhero buddying up with Slattery who has rubbed shoulders with several heroes by now.

“Oh, now this is an interesting duo!! Looking forward to this one,” says LeeoJohnson on Reddit.
General opinion seems to be fuelled by excitement for the show which will be very different to other MCU projects.
Wonder Man will give us a look at Hollywood life as Mateen’s role sees a dual identity hero juggling two lives and does so with humour.
Redditor Pandafy says, “I honestly don't think I've seen Yahya in a fun, comedic role. Kinda excited for it.”

Wonder Man should fill in a gap left behind by the likes of She-Hulk, to give us a grounded and comedic show that could go on to encompass the hero in a bigger role in the future.
