The next two Avengers films are spoilt for choice as to who could appear on the main roster, though fans have their theories on who’ll get the top spots.
While Avengers films are all about seeing our favourite heroes join forces in climactic battles, there are simply too many main heroes to have on-screen at the same time, so a smaller group doing most of the leg-work makes far more sense.
The MCU is welcoming another new team, the Thunderbolts*, the trailer of which you can see below.
At the time of writing, everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be doing their own thing, meaning just about anyone could pop back in as one of the new core members.

One fan on Reddit theorised who the main eight heroes for the next two Avengers films will be, guessing Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant Man, Doctor Strange, and Star Lord.
Not a bad line-up by any means, though some fans think there are some important faces missing that need a chance to shine in Avengers: Doomsday.
“After Shang-Chi’s post credit scene, I would be disappointed if he wasn’t heavily featured in this movie,” wrote one fan.
A fair criticism, especially since he was supposed to have an important role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty before plans changed.

“I feel like one or two of the newer movie characters (Shang-Chi, Yelena, etc) or one of the Disney Plus characters (Daredevil, She-Hulk, Moon Knight etc) will have to factor in a bit more heavily,” added another.
Many also pointed out that The Fantastic Four will be in the MCU by the time Avengers: Doomsday comes out, which makes sense considering Doom is a major villain for Marvel’s first family.
Of course, the roster will likely change again in-between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars…
