It’s becoming increasingly clear what awaits us in the remainder of The Multiverse Saga, and even slightly beyond.
The Avengers will finally reunite in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday and 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars - and after months of speculation, Spider-Man 4 has finally entered production.
Filming is set to get underway soon, with the working title reportedly being Blue Oasis.

Of course, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and Fantastic Four: The First Steps are all much further along and will be coming to us over the next year or so.
But there are a few characters we’re still unsure of when we’ll see next.
Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff is one such character, as is Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.
Both were last seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and while Scarlet Witch’s demise is going to take some coming back from, Steven Strange is surely primed and ready for a new MCU adventure.

Take a look at the trailer for Captain America: Brave New World below.
Doctor Strange is a reliable, recognisable figure in the MCU and that’s likely important to Marvel considering The Multiverse Saga has introduced so many new faces.
A reappearance then feels like a matter of when and not if, and although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, fans know what they’re hoping to see from the Sorcerer Supreme.

“Doctor Strange 3 should release before Avengers: Doomsday,” wrote Reddit user TheWingger.
“Doctor Strange [and] Clea (The Black Priests) are very important in the Time Runs Out storyline which will most likely be adapted in Doomsday,” they continued, explaining that before that happens, a third movie should explore Wanda’s whereabouts and the potential collapse of the multiverse to set Doomsday up.
Reddit can be a divisive place but on this point, practically everyone agreed.
“Doctor Strange 3 makes more sense than a Blade movie. It would help explain a lot of confusion and provide a cliffhanger for Doomsday,” added SaigoNoMetal.

“Yes, it should - and it makes sense with his story. I felt like this saga was supposed to focus on Strange more,” agreed mjm9398.
I quite agree too. Doctor Strange understands the multiverse better than anyone.
If there’s one character we should rely on to spiel exposition to help situate us for Doomsday and Secret Wars, it’s him.
Let’s hope Marvel’s plans come to light soon.
