MCU fans are getting teases left, right, and centre at the moment and chief among them is the possibility of a sequel to 2024’s biggest superhero film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
While nothing is set in stone right now, I’d be surprised if Marvel and Disney weren’t paving the way to have Deadpool and Wolverine connect once again for a film.
Deadpool & Wolverine recently debuted on Disney+ to a massive audience eager to watch the team-up
According to a recent rumour, Daniel Richtman, a known industry insiders, has commented that Marvel Studios is planning on moving forward with a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine.

He is noted as also saying that we’re likely to see the two heroes back in the MCU before this, in the team-up movie Avengers: Secret Wars.
It’s hardly a surprise that Marvel wants more of the Merc With a Mouth and the familiar X-Men legend.
The duo set the box office alight with their team-up earlier this year and when the film dropped onto Disney+ it swiftly became the most streamed film on the platform.
This lends credence to the rumour that Hugh Jackman will stay on as Wolverine in the MCU over the coming years - perhaps until he’s 90 - and maybe this will see him help usher in the Mutant Saga.

I’m not sure how I feel about using Jackman in upcoming MCU projects.
I loved his addition to the Deadpool film because it made some sense to close the door on the 20th Century Fox X-Men franchise.
However, nostalgia only goes so far and I wouldn’t want to see his inclusion overshadowing future mutant stars of the MCU.
Of course, these rumours could be speculated based on small talk or cameos in the making.

And, as we know, plans change in the Marvel universe all the time.
So, for now, take this with a pinch of salt, but keep your fingers crossed too, if you’re eager to see the heroes together again.
