Ryan Reynolds has taken to Twitter to offer fans a fresh glimpse at Deadpool 3 following the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
That’s right. The Screen Actors Guild of America has finally reached a deal with the studios, believed to be valued at $1 billion. The new agreement, thought to be in place for three years, ensures a streaming participation bonus, ‘above pattern’ minimum compensation increases, increases to health caps and pensions, an increase in background performer pay, and protections against AI. This means that actors can get back to work and one of those projects resuming production is Deadpool 3. The film is believed to be halfway through shooting so it’s now hoped that Reynolds and co-star Hugh Jackman can get suited back up. To celebrate, Reynolds has dropped a fresh teaser.
The Marvels is the latest MCU film to grace our screens. Take a look at the latest trailer below.
Ryan Reynolds, the merc with a mouth himself, took to Twitter to showcase a brand new character. A character of the canine variety. In Deadpool 3, the titular anti-hero is set to be joined not just by Wolverine, but also by Dogpool. Confused? Reynolds wrote, “Did Dogpool save the day? Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she IS currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares. Coming with the movie, Summer 2024.”
Advert
Deadpool 3 is officially bringing Dogpool to the big screen. The accompanying picture shows the rather unruly looking pooch suited up and ready to go. If you’re not familiar with Dogpool, he was originally owned by Mascara X in the comics and subjected to awful testing. One of these tests resulted in Dogpool gaining the ability to heal himself.
Mascara X eventually left Dogpool in a dumpster with Deadpool recruiting this magic pooch for his Deadpool Corps sometime later. Between this, Wolverine’s comic-accurate suit, and that mysterious crashed 20th Century Fox sign, Deadpool 3 is shaping up to be a weird and wacky film - which is why I cannot wait to watch it.
