Harry Potter fans are horrified to learn about the fate of Lord Voldemort after he died in The Deathly Hallows.
At least in recent history, Harry Potter’s Lord Voldemort, otherwise known as “he who shall not be named”, is one of the most iconic villains of all time.
Lord Voldemort is a powerful dark wizard who is hellbent on wiping out muggles (normal people) and even half-muggle/half-wizard/witches, so the planet is populated by what he considers to be pure-blood wizards and witches.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, we have an epic showdown between Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and the good folk of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry versus Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
Of course, Lord Voldemort and his minions lost the battle but what happened to the dark lord after he was killed? Did he go to hell, because we know there’s no way he’s being flung up to heaven?

“As we know, Lord Voldemort was afraid of death, he tried to make himself immortal/invincible but only to die in the end anyway. He died at Hogwarts. I wonder if he wasn’t ready to move on, would he then become a ghost at Hogwarts?” asks Redditor EMM0NSTER.
“To everyone scratching their heads, Rowling apparently confirmed a long time ago that Voldemort cannot become a ghost,” answered Avaracious7899.
So, what exactly happened to Lord Voldemort? In a nutshell, instead of becoming a ghost that roamed the halls of Hogwarts Castle, he became that stunted creepy baby thing in The Deathly Hallows that we witnessed in King’s Cross.
I think Voldemort’s fate was something far worse than death, perhaps worse than what most might perceive as limbo. He’ll forever be that creepy baby thing for all eternity.
