Regardless of how you feel about Ron Weasley, he played a key role in the Harry Potter series as Harry’s best friend and the comedic relief that was needed throughout the dark moments.
Through him, we are able to meet Harry’s almost-adoptive family of the Weasleys, help destroy a Horcrux, and most importantly, Harry himself was able to feel acceptance and love for the first time after a tough childhood.

However, despite being the third member of the Golden Trio, Ron has become overlooked in recent years and a fan’s trip to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour recently has proved this point exactly.

Posted to r/harrypotter, one fan posted about their trip to the studio tour which allows attendees to immerse themselves in the magical world created by J.K. Rowling, as well as getting some behind-the-scenes insight about how the hit movies were made.
However, the poster reveals a “character assassination of Ron” with quite an interesting photograph taken on the day.
“Was at the WB Studio tour yesterday and thought it was hilarious that Ron continues to be left out by the studio,” they shared.
The image shows three posters which look to be at the entrance to one of the exhibitions.

The first shows Harry himself, of course, followed by Hermione and… Newt Scamander?
It seems that the Golden Trio has a new member and it wasn’t long before fellow fans took to the comments to share their disappointment.
“Why does WB hate Ron? Is the actor problematic or do they just hate his character or?” user Redefinedpotato asked.
To which user willbekins replied, “They have like 20 years of data about which characters sell the most merchandise and drive the most engagement.

Decisions like this are made by folks with this kind of data. Some of whom don't know Ron from the books OR Ron from the films.”
Other Harry Potter fans also came forward with some other instances where Ron was left out of specific merchandise drops in the past so is this really to do with sales or some other reason entirely?
