Fallout fans are seriously hyped following rumours of a popular character that may be joining season two of the hit live-action series from Amazon.
It’s fair to say that gamers have had it rough when it comes to adaptations of our favourite video games on the big and small screen. It used to be that the best we could hope for is that a TV series or movie falls into the ‘so bad it’s good’ category.

However, while we are still tormented with recent stinkers such as the Resident Evil live-action Netflix series that was swiftly cancelled after its only season, productions such as The Last of Us and Fallout have proven that high-quality adaptations can exist.

For example, The Last of Us from HBO and Fallout from Amazon Studios are amongst the highest-rated TV series in recent years. Now, fans eagerly await whether the upcoming second seasons of both series can build upon the standard set by the predecessors.
While we don’t know exactly when season two of Fallout will arrive, we at least know that production is underway. What’s more, if recent rumours are to be believed, a beloved actor may play a huge role in that season.
As reported by The InSneider, Kumail Nanjiani has reportedly joined the cast for season two of Fallout. Nanjiani pretty much steals every scene he is part of, not only with his fantastic acting but also his comedic timing.
He made the most out of his role as Kingo in the 2021 MCU flop, Eternals. While he’s unlikely to reprise the role of Kingo in a live-action movie, fans of the actor were glad to see him return in What If…? season three, episode seven of ‘What If... Agatha Went to Hollywood?’ alongside another scene-stealer, Kathryn Hahn.

Understandably, fans are excited at the prospect of Nanjiani being part of season two of Fallout. “I feel he would be a fun person to run a Vault,” said Redditor F00dbAby.

“Normally, I'd complain because I don't think he's all that great of an actor and I find him distracting but... I think Fallout is pretty accommodating to wacky, hard-to-take-seriously, characters,” explained Liminal_Critter817 with a back-handed compliment.
“I loved him in Silicon Valley,” replied yanhairen.
“I Love Kumail in everything he’s in,” exclaimed Goblin_au. “I think my favourite character of his is Prismo from Adventure Time.”
Fallout season two is expected to arrive sometime in 2026. As for the aforementioned The Last of Us, its first episode arrives this coming April.
