We may be without an update on Fallout 5, but we’re hardly in a Fallout drought.
As I’m sure you’re aware, while Bethesda is attempting to speed up progression on Fallout 5, it’s not expected to land until sometime after The Elder Scrolls VI.
When you take into account that The Elder Scrolls VI remains an unknown number of years away from launch, you can understand why Fallout fans are often urged to be patient.

But as they say, good things come to those who wait.
It’s a shame that Fallout 5 is so far away because the studio should be capitalising on the success of Prime Video’s TV adaptation as much as possible.

Fallout 76 is also, dare I say it, in its prime, welcoming in a steady drip of new updates - including one 2025 release that many are counting down to.
Don’t know where to start with the Fallout franchise? We’ve got a guide to help with that.

“Years of continuous nuclear bombardment has taken its toll on our brave adventurers,” creative director Jon Rush announced during Fallout Day.
“The choice to leave behind your skin will unlock at level 50, in the form of a new quest that will begin the ‘mysterious process’.”
There’s no exact release date for the quest/update beyond the promised window of ‘early 2025’.
Ghouls have always been popular but it’s hard to deny the impact of Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul in the TV series in increasing that, given he’s someone who fans have spent months fawning over.

And so begins the countdown until we can become one ourselves.
