We’re in a bit of a drought when it comes to Batman films.
The Batman Part II, which will mark the return of Robert Pattinson’s caped crusader, isn’t set to land until 2026.
There’s practically no word on who might be portraying the character in the DCU.

The Penguin, a spin-off of The Batman, will premiere on 19 September so that’s something to keep us occupied.
I also heartily recommend you check out The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark, a audiobook-esque podcast series that’s available to listen to now on Spotify.
The series essentially charts The Riddlers villainous rise.
“To save the life of a friend, Edward Nygma must reflect on his own early life and the circumstances that led him to become The Riddler,” the synopsis reads.

Strangely, many fans are only just discovering the existence of this series and while it’s, on the whole, garnered praise, its Dark Knight casting has attracted some debate.
ICYMI: Batman: Arkham Shadow VR launches later this year. Take a look at the game in action below.
If you’re not aware, The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark is a spin-off of Batman Unburied which starred Black Panther’s Winston Duke in the lead role.

In The Riddler though, the caped crusader is portrayed by Colman Domingo of Euphoria and Fear The Walking Dead fame.
Personally, I think everything that Colman Domingo touches turns to gold - he’s incredibly talented - but some people do appear to miss Duke’s take on the character.
“Winston Duke had an almost perfect Batman, and Bruce Wayne voice,” one Reddit user wrote.
“I second this, this Batman voice sounded weird to me, Winston duke killed it with the Batman voice,” added MJ_GAMER2208.

“Colman Domingo’s Batman voice is better,” BatBeast_29 countered.
Each to their own - I enjoyed both takes in equal measure.
Regardless of what you think, I recommend you check out the audio series. It’ll be exciting to see if Domingo has additional Batman projects in his future - and if we'll see Duke return.
