Teaser images from an unreleased follow-up to the best Batman series (you can fight me in the replies) Batman Beyond have surfaced online - and they are absolutely stunning.
As revealed on Twitter by Yuhki Demers, the visual development artist behind both Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the images were created as part of a pitch to Warner Bros. for a modern DC-universe Batman Beyond feature film.
Speaking of Batman, have you played Batman: Arkham Shadow yet?
“5 months ago Patrick Harpin walked into@wbpictures@DCofficialand pitched a Batman Beyond Animated Feature,” Demers stated in their post.

“Before we pitched, they warned us "there is absolutely no way we can do a Beyond movie", but they loved our enthusiasm. We pitched the outline for the entire film, and what started as a 'never' turned into a 'maybe'.”
It’s not too much of a surprise Warner Bros isn’t too keen on taking a swing on a Batman Beyond film, given that it’s been almost 20 years since Terry’s Batman has popped up in anything outside of a comic book.
It’s also been theorised that the sales numbers of the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker film were less than stellar, as Warner Bros has only revisited the franchise once since it aired.
The last time we saw Terry in animated form was in the Justice League Unlimited episode “Epilogue” back in 2005, which supposedly explored a storyline that never made it into a planned fourth season of the Batman Beyond series.

However, according to Demers, there’s still a chance we might see Terry again (as long as he can get through to James Gunn).
“In the time since we've been pitching our way up the company hoping to get to @jamesgunn. But for now, here's a taste of what we've been cooking.”
Here’s hoping something comes out of this, because I think the current generation of Batman fans would love to see Terry return.
