Ever since Minecraft was created by Markus ‘Notch’ Persson in 2009, people have been using the game to create beautiful, fantastical worlds.
Despite its limited artstyle, with everything in the world including the characters and animals being created out of cubic blocks, people have achieved amazing constructions. From the man who is recreating the Star Wars universe one planet at a time, to the person who recreated the entire continent of Europe in the blocky builder, it is truly impressive what people can create in what is a basic building simulator.
You can see the unbelievable realistic mods for yourself in the video below.
This latest series of mods has taken Minecraft to another level. The graphics have improved steadily over the years, and while eerily realistic texture packs have been around for a while, there is something about the movement of objects in these mods which have astounded us.

As compiled by SirReplayz on TikTok, there are things the mods add which work outside of the blocky physics; the way that water realistically floods spaces, the way that sand blocks melt into their individual grains, or glass that shatters into pieces, even more impressive are the things which work with the physics.
TNT has been made in-game to work more realistically. It detonates, destroying the ground below and sending the building above tumbling down in a shower of blocks. Realistic fire spews out smoke and burns the blocks around it, and cutting down trees will see them tower and fall to the ground below.
There are also realistic lighting effects which have been added. From lava streams which engulf those unfortunate enough to get in its path, to the flowing, swirling nether portals. Everything about these mods breathe life into this 20-year-old game, bringing it right into the modern era.
