Thanks to the recent release of the official The Witcher 3 REDkit mod tools, new creations are flooding the internet including one that adds a whole new map expansion to your game.
Earlier this week saw CD Projekt Red release official mod support for its hit RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This will give creators the ability to create even more incredible mods which, in turn, will see floods of new content being added to the game almost 10-years on.

To celebrate this exciting addition, one creator over on Nexus Mods has released The Witcher 1 Maps which, as you can probably guess, brings all the maps from 2007’s The Witcher to The Witcher 3.

More specifically, maps for Vizima Dike, Temple Quarter, Trade Quarter, and Old Vizima will now be available in the latest The Witcher title and most importantly, they can be added for absolutely free.
However, with the creator adding a disclaimer that they “didn't put much effort or time into the porting process” it is worth noting that this mod has quite a few flaws such as the chance to fall out of the map’s bounds and strange looking geometry and textures.
Needless to say, as this is a brand-new mod, it is likely that it will be improved either by the original creator or other modders in the future.
For now, this is the best way to check out The Witcher without actually booting up the 2007 title.

In related news, The Witcher fans have recently taken to Twitter to slam the upcoming season of the Netflix adaptation. With Liam Hemsworth taking over from Henry Cavill, there was bound to be some upset but a recent look at Hemsworth at the helm is not helping the situation.
Hopefully the new mod tools will offer a bit of distraction.
