Heads up, RPG fans, there’s a new game announced that looks like a mix of Skyrim and Horizon Zero Dawn.
Skyrim and Horizon have been two of the biggest RPGs from the last decade, with their influence spanning far and wide.
You can see traces from the Bethesda and Guerrilla games in RPGs like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Genshin Impact, and Elden Ring.

Horizon Zero Dawn remains one of the most influential games from the PS4.
The Night Wanderer from Polish studio Mighty Koi looks set to be the next game that takes influence from these games.
Described as a “groundbreaking RPG and soulslike fusion”, The Night Wanderer looks like a mix of historical fantasy and sci-fi.

I mean, you play as a big dude with a sword, but there’s also an AI companion who guides you through the game’s story.
It’ll be interesting to see just how well this splice of genres interact with each other.
“Venture into Midgaard, a world like no other,” reads the description on Steam. “Play as Vuko Drakkainen, an elite soldier, revered by some as a God among men, who is cast from the stars to an unknown destiny.”
Outside of some plot details, there isn’t a whole lot revealed about how the game will play. Check out a trailer below.

Obviously, fans of Skyrim and Horizon won’t want to miss it. But with it also being described as having soulslike elements, Elden Ringers should also keep an eye out.
It also looks very God of War, with the obvious Norse mythology parallels being apparent just from the few images we have.
The Night Wanderer is the first game from Warsaw-based Mighty Koi, who is developing this alongside another game, Thorgal.
Similar to The Night Wanderer, Thorgal also has few details regarding what kind of game it is. Inspired by the comic book series of the same name, it takes place in a Viking world that takes a lot of inspiration from Norse folklore.

But aside from the fact that both games are RPGs, we’ll have to wait for a more complete reveal later down the line.
