The Last of Us TV show episode nine ends the series with a near-perfect score, leaving fans desperate for the arrival of season two.
This week saw the ninth and final episode for the debut season of The Last of Us from HBO, arguably the best video game adaptation of all time and the series scores look to back up those claims.
The final episode ‘Look for the Light’ scored an impressive 9.4 by users on IMDB. What’s more, 76% of users gave The Last of Us finale episode a perfect score of 10 with over 6k voters. However, 164 users, which works out to be 2% of voters scored the episode a 1.0.
That being said, the final episode of The Last of Us is not the highest scoring from the debut season. The highest-scoring episode is ‘Endure and Survive’ with 9.5. What’s more, the two lowest-scoring episodes are ‘Long, Long Time’ with 8.0 and ‘Left Behind’ with 7.4. We’ll leave you to speculate as to why those two episodes in particular scored the lowest.

At the time of writing, The Last of Us TV series as a whole scored 9.1 on IMDB from over 272,000 voters. In case you’re interested, the highest-scoring TV series on IMDB with a joint score of 9.4 are Planet Earth and Planet Earth II, Breaking Bad, and Band of Brothers.
Now that the debut season is over, when can we expect season two of The Last of Us? In truth, we have no release date of when that time might arrive. Thankfully, following the incredible success of the debut season, HBO has already renewed season two.
If we were to take an educated guess, going by HBO’s other goliath series, Game of Thrones, each new season would arrive roughly one year apart from the next. So with a bit of luck, history will repeat itself with The Last of Us.
