No shade meant toward Bethesda, but getting new Elder Scrolls content hasn’t been easy.
We’ve had many good quality Elder Scrolls mods to fall back on, most of which are Skyrim based because, despite it being 13 years later, we’re still besotted with that RPG.
Still, with such a long wait before we get The Elder Scrolls VI, we need something fresh to immerse ourselves in.

Thank goodness, then, that some of the developers from The Elder Scrolls I and II era are working on a new game. Referred to as the “spiritual successor” to the great but underrated The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfell, this upcoming RPG has piqued our interest.
The Wayward Realms looks brilliant already!
“We’re working on a spiritual successor to The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall,” said Ted Peterson, one of the developers, during an interview, as reported by PCGamesN. “The Wayward Realms is a first-of-its-kind grand RPG.”

“Our goal with The Wayward Realms is to restore scope, choice, consequences, and roleplaying to RPGs. We’re returning to classic CRPG design philosophies,” Peterson added.
It all sounds incredibly promising.
Fans who’ve watched the sneak peak of the game are already talking about pre-orders, and how beautiful it looks. “If it's coming to Xbox, I'll gladly pre-purchase this. This looks nice af,” said YouTuber RoastTurtle2.
Sadly, while early access is looming, The Wayward Realms isn’t going to launch just yet. What this means – besides weeping into your coffee – is that you’ll need to occupy yourselves with other epic fantasy adventures.

Back to Skyrim we go then...!
Skyrim Together: Reborn is one such way you can soak up all that stunning whimsical drama and action, only this time with your trusty friends by your side. There’s life in the ol’ girl yet.
We genuinely can’t wait for The Wayward Realms to deliver the Daggerfell successor we’ve been begging for.
