Bethesda has finally decided to remind everyone that, yes, The Elder Scrolls VI does still exist - and they’ve picked a wholesome way of doing it.

As revealed on the Bethesda website, the publisher is once again teaming up with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to auction off a very fancy prize for a good cause; a custom NPC in the next Elder Scrolls game.

“For the last several years, we have been lucky enough to work with Make-A-Wish to grant wishes, support some of their local events, and provide items and experiences, all to benefit children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses,” Bethesda Game Studios announced on their official site.

“This year, for their Silent Auction we are giving one winner the opportunity to work with Bethesda Game Studios to create a character to appear as an NPC in The Elder Scrolls VI. All of the money made from the auction goes directly to Make-A-Wish.”

This is actually the second time Bethesda has done this, as they offered the same prize (for Starfield) through an auction back in 2021.

Over on the r/TESVI subreddit, users are just thrilled that Bethesda is talking about The Elder Scrolls VI in any capacity.

“Holy s**t Bethesda taking about Elder Scrolls VI in any official capacity??” commented user WanderingThespian.

“NPCs confirmed for Elder Scrolls 6, get hyped,” replied user yeswewillsendtheeye.

To be fair, it is unsurprising that people are excited. Even though this is a mere scrap of info, it is still info - and that’s more than we’ve gotten for The Elder Scrolls VI in months.

It is however interesting to note that the last time Bethesda did this for Starfield, the game ended up coming out roughly 900 days later so… this could be seen as a rough indication of The Elder Scrolls VI’s release date.

So, late 2027 release date it is, then? Let’s all board the hype train while we still can.
