The dark comedy telling the story of superheroes gone rogue has never shied away from shocking scenes and that is how the story of one iconic character could end.
Homelander has become one of the most iconic characters of all time and his antics are pretty well-known, even for those who have yet to tune into The Boys.
That is why it is perhaps no surprise that in the comic book series with the same name, his death is pretty spectacular.
A conversation about his demise took place over on r/TheBoys recently when one user posted:

“Question regarding how Homelander is taken out in the comics.
“So in the comics, when Homelander gets his jaw punched off in that incredibly awesome fashion, that’s the end of what we see of him until Black Noir comes out of the White House holding what’s left of Homelander.
So did the punch do him in and the spray of explosives blew his body apart, or did the two of them fight and that was the result of the fight?”
To which a fellow user replied: “Basically they killed each other. Black Noir was dying as a result of the fight and the army finished it off with artillery. We will not see any of that in this show.”

This same user believes the scene will be significantly different in the show with Black Noir being made into the “good guy” instead.
However, it remains to be seen how Homelander will meet his end when the fifth season of The Boys airs.
