Homelander has done some messed up things, but this is arguably his most disturbing to date.
Of course, while we’ve seen this horrific moment in all its gruesome detail, TV fans needn’t worry about having to witness it played out on their screens.
Let’s just say, if you thought that X-rated scene was too much, this is definitely a twist to avoid at all costs. Leave now if you don’t want to be scarred for life.

After watching this The Boys trailer, there's no unlearning Homelander's dark secret...
In The Boys comics, Homelander is depicted eating a baby. It’s one of many things he’s apparently done and is being blackmailed with.
However, while difficult to look at, this is something that never really happened, hence Homelander not recalling the stomach-churning scene.

Naturally, given what he supposedly does (however untrue it is), this scene isn’t going to show up in Amazon’s show. Can you imagine how badly the series would be review bombed then?
As one Redditor summarises oh so concisely, “The TV show is dark, the comics are much more graphic.”
Where would this baby eating scene fall if it was in the show, though? The fans are here to explain it to us. “Instead of the flight footage in the show, Butcher blackmails Homelander with photos of him doing all this f**ked up shit, but Homelander has no memory of doing it.”
I can’t speak on behalf of all of you, but I think it’s fair to say the world made more sense when the only thing we needed to unsee was Antony Starr’s Homelander audition.

Unsettling though it was, it’s nothing compared to what we’ve seen in that Reddit thread.
If you’ve made it through to the other side, go read something cute and safe. Hold on to your pets and tell them it’s going to be okay.
