This upcoming horror game that sees you play the role of a zoo keeper looks every bit as amazing as it does grotesque, and I’m all here for it.
The game in question is called Zoochosis, developed by indie studio Clapperheads, and it looks to have hints of the zoo chapter ‘Wild Things’ from Resident Evil Outbreak: File #2 with a dose of Five Nights at Freddy’s with you being a zoo keeper instead of a security guard. I would also say that Zoochosis is what would happen if Zoo Tycoon wandered into the nightmare world of Silent Hill.
Check out the Zoochosis announcement trailer below!
The announcement trailer is unquestionably disturbing and never in my wildest nightmares (and I have my fair share), have I ever dreamed of a zoo as scary as the one featured in this gloriously gory horror title.

“Zoochosis will introduce you to a spine-chilling new horror experience as the main gameplay view is shot from a body-cam perspective strapped to your chest, capturing the horrific events of your first night shift in a zoo,” reads the description on the Steam store. “The animals need feeding and checking on, but as the night progresses, you discover that a few of the animals seem to be falling sick, infected with some kind of parasite that is turning them into bloodthirsty mutants with terrifying consequences. Will you be able to cure them before the parasite spreads to the other animals in the zoo or will you die trying? Either way, it’s going to be a long night. . .”
In Zoochosis, not only will you be tasked with feeding and caring for the mutated animals at the zoo, but you’ll also be attempting to uncover the sinister mystery of just what in the hell is wrong with them. That’s assuming that you survive the night. What’s more, your choices will matter in the game, so choose wisely.
No release date has been announced for Zoochosis at the time of writing, but it is currently scheduled to be released on PC via Steam around halfway through this year. Hopefully, if this game proves to be a success, we’ll see a console release too.
