Stranger Things 4 was undeniably the show’s best season yet. There was so much to love this season but one thing, or should I say person, sticks out above the rest: Eddie Munson.
Even if you’ve never seen the show, it’s impossible to avoid the fact that the internet is literally simping over actor Joseph Quinn, and I get it. Steve aside, I’d go as far as saying that Eddie Munson is the most popular Stranger Things character across all seasons. Well, Joseph Quinn recently made his first con appearance at London Film & Comic Con and he wasn’t quite prepared for the fan response.
Take a look below at the moment Joseph Quinn teared up after one fan told him just how beloved Eddie Munson is.
During a Q&A session, fan Kimberly Burrows shared her gratitude with the actor and it struck a chord with thousands of fans. Understandably, Quinn was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. Burrows said in the clip, “I just wanted to say thank you from all of us. We're really grateful you're spending the time [with us]. I think we've all really connected with Eddie for one reason or another. Whether we liked his music taste or that he is an outsider ... we've all travelled far because we all really connect with you as well,” as Quinn wiped tears away.

Burrows thanked Quinn for an earlier photo opportunity as he was extremely kind and welcoming to both her and her guide dog. Reports suggested that Quinn had been mistreated by convention staff earlier in the day after they criticised the actor for spending too long with fans.
Event organisers Showmasters have since debunked the rumour. They noted that “Joseph was well looked after over the weekend” and that “his family have thanked us for looking after them all over the weekend.” They added that, “Social media is the wild west right now, and the truth can be drowned out by stories and fake news. If you want to hear the facts, listen to the people that were involved with Joseph and his team.”
All in all, the takeaway here is clearly that Joseph Quinn is the lovable, wholesome human we hoped he would be.
