Steam drops a ton of free downloads you've until 5 August to grab

Get ready for a busy weekend

Apparently August will see us all channel our inner builders as Steam has dropped a ton of free downloads available to grab right now.

Available now until 5 August, Steam is running its Tower Defense Fest which will task PC users with “all sorts of ways to jump into defensive combat, destroy your enemies, and protect your home base.”

Once Human is another hit title available for free on Steam right now!

Alongside some popular titles which are available at a discounted price, Steam is also giving everybody the chance to get involved by featuring some free games as well.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of them.

First up is Quacker Bros: First Heist which sees players protecting their bounty against the intercepting chicken Mafia.

The roguelike tower defence game will see you and your duck friends survive against onslaughts of enemies in order to get away with the loot from your daring heist.

You could also check out Citywars Tower Defense, a cute multiplayer third-person survivor tower defense title where you will build towers, gather resources, craft tools and expand your city alongside friends.

However, with incoming waves of monsters arriving with no warning, you will have to make sure your city can withstand the onslaught.

For the zombie fans out there, Zombie Defense is a “modern hybrid of the classic RTS and modern tower defense”.

Players are tasked with recruiting soldiers and placing them on slots where they will be in charge of shooting down the approaching zombies.

While they are busy, you will have to order supplies, throw grenades and order airstrikes in order to turn the tide in their favour.

All of these games and many more are available for free until 5 August so don’t miss out if you want to get stuck into Steam’s latest event without spending a penny.
