PC gamers continue to be treated like greedy Tudor princes, having their faces stuffed full of all the free games they can eat. Okay, that's quite a garbled metaphor, but it is Monday so cut me some slack.
If you've got a PC and a Steam account then you'll know there's currently an embarrassment of free games to choose from. Sure they might not all be the biggest names, but I'm not one to turn down a free game. Especially when it offers a chance to try something I might otherwise have missed.
There's a ton of cool stuff to check out on Steam this month if you're after a free game. Over the weekend a new batch of July freebies dropped, including: Doomsday: Last Survivors, Dust And Aliens, Monster's Domain, Spiritle, Soccer Kids, and Swelter. You can read up on those over here if you're curious (some of them do look genuinely interesting).

But that's not all, oh no: as of right now you can grab a free download for one of Steam's brand-new 2023 releases.
From now until July 13 Steam users can go and grab Ravenbound's Hammers of Ávalt expansion for 100% off. This brand new DLC introduces a ton of new hammer weapons to the game, all of which come with their own unique stats and effects.
The catch? You do of course need to own Ravenbound, a single-player action RPG that was released back in March to... not so much fanfare. Still, those that have given the game a chance have found plenty to enjoy. The base game is also currently 20% off, if you're interested.
The official Steam store description for Ravenbound is as follows: "Fear everything and nothing for death brings you closer to victory in this challenging open world action-roguelite. As the Vessel of an ancient power you must use steel and skill to complete your mission in a dangerous fantasy world inspired by Scandinavian folklore."
