Sony has just revealed that you can get your hands on a free download for an upcoming souls-like RPG on PlayStation 5, well ahead of its full release in March.
AI LIMIT is a new title from first-time developers Sense Games, that they described as a “post-apocalyptic wasteland sci-fi ARPG”.
In AI LIMIT, you take on the role of Arrisa, who is a “Blader with immortality”, as you explore the wasteland of Havenswell in a bid to track down fellow survivors.

Now the full game doesn’t actually drop until March 27 later this year, but you can try out the demo on PlayStation 5 right now if you feel like it.
If you feel like you’re getting a major sense of deja vu then don’t worry, you probably heard about the Steam demo for the title that came out towards the end of last year.
On the off chance you have already played the Steam demo, I wouldn’t bother checking it out for a second time on PS5 as said demo is exactly the same between platforms.
As of writing, the latest trailer for AI LIMIT (that dropped three days ago) has confirmed that the title will be exclusive to both PlayStation 5 and Steam. Sorry in advance to all the folks over on Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

So what’s the general consensus on the demo? Mixed, to put things lightly.
Obviously the souls-like comparisons are pretty apt, but I’ve also seen a lot of people comparing the art style and the enemy design to both NieR: Automata and Code Vein.
In Iron Pineapple’s review of the demo the most positive praise they could give AI LIMIT is that it’s a “competent” souls-like so, perhaps it may be best to wait for the reviews for this one before you slap down a pre-order.
