There are so many games to look forward to in the remainder of 2023. The word ‘stacked’ comes to mind - particularly in September and October. We are going to be busy little beavers, indeed. There’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Mortal Kombat 1, Lies of P, and that’s just to name a few.
Arguably, Starfield is perhaps the biggest talk of the town. The upcoming space epic from Bethesda is set to be huge. In fact, the Star Map may just be the biggest thing we’ve ever seen. Bethesda themselves confirmed that New Atlantis is set to be the largest city they’ve ever created. The Adoring Fan is back, plus we now have a pretty good idea about what romance options will be on offer in the game. You won’t be able to go fishing or ride alien species, if you were wondering. Want to know something you can do though? You can download Starfield right now.
Take a look at Starfield in action below.
I said you could download Starfield, I didn’t say you could play it. As you may be aware, Starfield will be an Xbox Game Pass day one release, with many fans citing this as the reason they believe Microsoft have now increased the price of Game Pass. If you’re a Game Pass subscriber, you can actually pre-install Starfield right now. That means on launch day, you’ll be able to dive in immediately.

Those of you who have pre-ordered a physical copy of the game will obviously have to wait until launch day. After Bethesda incorrectly stated that physical copies would come with a code inside, it’s now been confirmed that actually, standard physical editions will indeed have a disc. It’s the pricey Constellation Edition that comes with a code, just what you need for your empty steelbook case. I’m being sarcastic. Please can we end this code trend.
In recent weeks, a bizarre petition has been doing the rounds online set up by an angered PlayStation fan who hopes that Bethesda will make the game an Xbox-exclusive as “Xbox and its 12 dedicated players” don’t deserve it. Just when you thought the so-called console wars nonsense had been left behind. Sigh.
