There’s loads for Star Wars fans to be excited about right now. With Ahsoka releasing later this month on Disney+ and Ubisoft’s highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws on the horizon, we’re going to be eating good for a while.
Now though, it seems that Respawn Entertainment may have inadvertently confirmed that work on a third Star Wars Jedi game has commenced already, just a couple of months after the release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. This information has come by way of a job listing, which was first highlighted by Reddit user Hard2DaC0re on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours.
Take a look at our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor right here.
The job listing in question (which was posted a week ago) is seeking out a “principal game writer (Star Wars Jedi)”, so I’m sure you can see why everyone’s getting rather excited. The role description states: “We’re looking for a highly skilled principal game writer who will embrace our philosophy and share their hard-earned expertise to help us create an incredible Star Wars experience for our players in a fun, third-person action-adventure setting.”

Exciting, right? To be fair, this isn’t really a huge shock at all - in an interview with IGN Unfiltered, Star Wars Jedi game director Stig Asmussen previously said that even before Fallen Order’s release, a trilogy was being considered.
“I always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and the crew to new places beyond what we were doing in the first game?” he said. “We had a pretty decent idea of timeframe where we wanted Survivor to take place, what the stakes were going to be, what the tone of the game was going to be, what Cal was going to be up against, and how the crew was going to factor into that. And there's ideas of what we could do beyond that as well.”
At the time of writing, we have no idea when this unnamed third Star Wars Jedi game will be officially confirmed, nor when it’s scheduled to release. Stay frosty, friends.
