For some strange and bizarre reason, we’ve never had a Star Wars Battlefront 3, until now at least.
The Star Wars Battlefront series currently consists of four games, the first two classic games and the two modern releases, both are great depending on what kind of experience you’re after but I’d suggest steering clear of the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection if I were you
You can check out that collection below, and while it had a lot of potential it just couldn’t stick the landing
We’ve never had a proper third game though, but this mod for Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the original) is possibly the closest we’ve ever got to one.

It’s called Star Wars Battlefront 3 Legacy and it’s free-to-play on PC, with hosted servers, more characters, reworked maps, new HUD elements and much more.
You can catch a glimpse of the action on YouTube and several content creators have been giving it a go, and it looks like good old-fashioned Battlefront fun, what could be better?
As for if we’ll ever get an official Star Wars Battlefront 3 from Electronic Arts, that’s a very tricky question.
I’m sure EA knows that we want Star Wars Battlefront 3 but the question has to be asked: what would be expected of a third game?

Is it just more characters and maps from the wider Star Wars galaxy or will it need new gameplay mechanics to keep the gameplay fresh?
Personally I’d love to see a third game explore the Old Republic era of Star Wars, bringing back characters like Darth Revan, and it’d be great to have a third game explore some of the other Star Wars conflicts like the Mandalorian wars.
For now though, Star Wars Battlefront 3 Legacy is enough, and if you’re not giving it a go on PC you’re missing out.
