An upcoming adaptation of Splinter Cell has a star-studded cast, with Sam Fisher played by Andonis Anthony and actors like Marvel's Will Poulter and Doctor Who's Sacha Dhawan as currently unannounced characters.
Importantly, this isn't the movie version of the stealth series which has been in development since 2005. Our last update on the status of this adaptation was that Tom Hardy is portraying a younger Sam Fisher and has read over the scripts. Thunder Road Films will be producing and the movie aims to sidle into a genre that possesses its "own style within the action." Today, the one we're on talking about in this article though is Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Firewall and this will be released in December.
Check out the deep dive on the anticipated remake of the original 2002 game below!
"The eight-part series, dramatised by Sebastian Baczkiewicz and Paul Cornell, follows veteran Fourth Echelon agent Sam Fisher on a new mission, recruiting and training the next generation of Splinter Cell operatives for the National Security Agency's covert action division," stated the BBC, and this drama will be broadcast on Radio 4. "When a lethal assassin from Fisher's past returns from the dead on a mission of murder, he is thrust into a race against time as a sinister threat to global security is revealed."

As aforementioned, the central character will be played by Andonis Anthony who is perhaps most well known for his role on The Archers. Sarah Fisher will be played by Daisy Head - you might recognise her name from Harlots - and the remainder of the cast is rounded out with Rosalie Craig (Centaurworld, 1899), Sacha Dhawan (Doctor Who), Nikesh Patel (The Devil's Hour) and Will Poulter (Dopesick, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3).
In other stealth action-adventure goings-on, you're able to claim Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell for free through the Ubisoft Store. This offer expires on 30 November and it is really a good opportunity to get to grips with the game before its remake comes out. Off you go now.
