Rookie Twitch streamer celebrates getting nine viewers with his mum, explodes in popularity

I am here to tell you that Twitch is hard. While the streaming platform has given us some massive stars over the years, the fact is that the vast majority of people that attempt to stream on Twitch are lucky if they can pull in three or four viewers a night.

That's what I can completely understand why young streamer NateBosa was so excited to hit nine viewers on Twitch that he just had to call his mum in and share the good news. Lucky thing too, since the ensuing interaction has absolutely blown up online and helped his popularity boom.

“Mom, are you here?” the streamer calls out to his mum in the now-viral clip.

“Hey everybody, I’m Nate’s mom. I know I seem way too young and way too cool, but I’m Nate’s mom,” she said as she walked into the room and kissed her son on the head.

“Yeah I have nine people watching right now. Nine real human beings! Can you believe that? Imagine if there were nine people in this room. That’d be crazy,” Nate replied, clearly delighted - and rightly so.

“Look, it’s like you’re hanging out with nine people and you don’t even have to leave your house!” his mum joked.

The clip was soon shared on Twitter, where it viral. The streamer has since exploded in popularity, passing 20,000 followers on the platform. Before the clip was shared around the internet, NateBosa had a respectable 3,500 followers.

The moral of the story? Be nice to your mum, duh. It probably won't result in you becoming internet famous, but you should always be proud to share your wins with her anyway.
