Have you ever played Skyrim and caught yourself thinking that slaying dragons and exploring ancient ruins is actually incredibly dull? You're not alone.
The beauty of a game like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is that there are almost no limits to what you can do and who you can be. However, those more interested in a life completely free from violence and adventure will find themselves with very little to do.
Take a look at some of the best Skyrim wins and fails below!
Enter Heljarchen Farm, an impressive mod for Skyrim that sprinkles a little Stardew Valley onto the Bethesda RPG and essentially puts a whole-ass farming sim inside the game.

"Heljarchen Farm is a player-owned farm that allows you to rebuild a once-abandoned property into a functional farming business," explains the mod's creator, Skvindt. "Restoring the farm to its former glory will reward the player with income every day and the ability to harvest crops grown on the farm fields.
"The farm can even be upgraded further with the construction of a small meadery and guardhouse, allowing you to earn gold from a meadery operation, with guards protecting your goods against thieves."
It's an incredible, feature-rich piece of work, and pretty much feels like it could be an official expansion from Bethesda. Heck, I'd be thrilled if something like this was ever made into a full game. A fantasy farming sim where you occasionally get to fight off bandits sounds entirely my jam. If you're looking for something a little different from your next Skyrim playthrough, this could well be the mod for you.
Alternatively, you can check out some of the other excellent mods that completely change the game, including an epic new quest mod and a whole-ass overhaul of almost every system that somehow looks like The Elder Scrolls VI.
