Although most of the hype in the gaming stratosphere is currently surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6, some Rockstar fans are still looking ahead to a possible Red Dead Redemption 3. Whether or not this will happen is still yet to be confirmed but for Arthur Morgan, it may be the end of the line.
Rockstar Games has cemented itself as one of the most popular gaming studios of all time and it is this studio that is making all the headlines recently after the long-awaited arrival of the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer. With the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series set to be released in 2025, fans can’t help but wonder what this means for its Red Dead Redemption franchise.

With Red Dead Redemption being released in 2010 and followed by Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, the action-adventure series has gone on to become a hit for Rockstar. Telling the stories of gunslingers John Marston and Arthur Morgan, the series features everything you can expect from GTA in the desert and has fans yearning for more.

Although a third title is yet to be announced, Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clark recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the future of the series.
“I’m certain we will see RDR3 one day,” he wrote. “When that will be - I have absolutely no idea. Don’t count on Arthur’s involvement either. His story has been told, I feel.”
With John Marston making an appearance in Red Dead Redemption 2, it would not have been the first time the two games had crossover characters. Although some fans hoped to see Arthur in flashbacks, this does not appear to be the case and it seems as though the cowboy has hung up his hat for good.
This doesn’t rule out the inclusion of other much-loved characters from the game, such as Sadie Adler or Jack Marston taking on the reins in the third instalment. Now all that is left is for Rockstar to announce it!
