To say that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a massive game would be an understatement so it would make sense that there are loads of secrets that are yet to be discovered even by the most dedicated of fans.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 and despite the numbered name, it’s a prequel to the 2010 game released by Grand Theft Auto developer, Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption 2, tells the story of Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the Dutch van der Linde gang, a group of outlaws that we were introduced to in the 2010 release.

As we’ve seen in titles such as GTA V, Rockstar Games likes to sneak easter into games, some of which have players talking for years such as the heartbreaking story of a dog that routinely visits his deceased owner's grave. Of course, Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception offering some of the strangest open-world encounters that we’ve ever seen.

One of the most popular myths of Red Dead Redemption 2 is the tale of Agnes Dowd’s ghost who can sometimes be seen wandering the Bluewater Marsh. This particular encounter has been witnessed by players who were in the right place at the right time.
However, the ghost tale that is the subject of today’s story is a little more up close and personal. That being said, fans have been speculating whether this particular ghostly encounter is a deliberate Rockstar Games easter egg or a glitch.
“I found something creepy in Saint-Denis,” said Reddit user yaesthete sharing a captured clip of what appears to be a ghost of a woman. The clip in question features a shadowy figure with Arthur Morgan seemingly trapped in a claustrophobic corridor.

The reason why some players believe that this apparent random encounter is a glitch and not a ghost is because Arthur Morgan is not only able to shoot the figure dead but he also loses honour points upon doing so. Of course, the whole concept of a ghost is them being dead so it makes no sense that you’re able to shoot them and kill them, again.
“Where is this? I have played this game for like 1,500 hours and have not found that” said scepticallyminded to which yaesthete replied, “It’s on one of the balconies near the saloon in Saint-Denis, it’s a glitch but creepy nonetheless!”
Yet, some believe that this still might not be a glitch as the shadow design appears to be deliberate by Rockstar Games and some have pointed out that there are ghosts (such as
Agnes Dowd) in Red Dead Redemption 2. I guess we’ll never know for sure until Rockstar Games confirms the encounter either way.
