It may be the overused way to describe Red Dead Redemption 2 but that’s because it speaks the truth. The 2018 Rockstar Games title is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Chances are, as a collective fandom, we’ve likely found all there is to discover within Red Dead Redemption 2’s exquisitely detailed open world.

As individuals though? It’s far less likely anyone has laid their eyes on every secret Easter egg, open world encounter, or hidden locale themselves.

That’s why, after all of these years, The experience of replaying Red Dead Redemption 2 still feels so fresh for many of us.

From an Undead Nightmare secret you likely missed to a creepy ghost I’d certainly never seen before, there’s always something to pull you back in.

Today, one player has brought to light an NPC that seemingly is rarely stumbled across.

Enjoy some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

The discovery was made by Reddit user digitalmasked who wrote, “I’m on my probably eighth or ninth playthrough and I have never seen this [NPC] before.”

I’ve omitted the exact way that digitalmasked referred to the NPC simply because this is clearly a character who appears to be suffering from Proteus syndrome or neurofibromatosis, conditions which cause large growths to develop on the body, and the OP’s original description is insensitive of that fact.

You can reportedly find this chap playing on his banjo outside of Butcher Creek.

I’m glad to see that almost every comment is echoing my own sentiment.

“Don’t be rude,” wrote one user.

“He’s just chillin,” added another.

I don’t urge you to seek this guy to ogle like the OP. Instead, I encourage you to listen to his enjoyable playing.

“He’s nice and plays good music. I go visit every few chapters,” wrote sleepylilprincesses.

“Homeboy plays some real kickin tunes,” added another.

See? I’m not alone in thinking this. Go seek out his musical expertise.
