Red Dead Redemption 2 quietly releases free download you've 24 hours left to claim

Red Dead Redemption 2 quietly releases free download you've 24 hours left to claim

Claim these RDR2 freebies

If your name is Quick Draw McGraw, then you might be able to claim this free Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC before it's too late with less than 24 hours to go.

In 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2, you play as Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the infamous Dutch van der Linde gang with its events taking place before the original 2010 game. RDR2 is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time with a Metacritic score of 97, but when you’re done with its campaign, you can take your shenanigans online.

Check out the Red Dead Online trailer below!

Despite not being as well supported by Rockstar Games as GTA Online which benefits from expansion-sized content updates, Red Dead Online at the very least gets monthly events in which players can earn bonus XP, in-game currency and DLC just by completing missions.

With that in mind, the latest Red Dead Online event is here with ‘Telegram Missions - Bodyguards for Hire’. Each week up until 4 November players can earn exclusive content.

However, you have just 24 hours to claim the first exclusive content before the new week starts offering players something new. You have until the end of play on 7 October to receive the black and white Darned Stockings.

To earn this cosmetic item, all you need to do is reach wave five in the Halloween-themed ‘All Hallows’ Call to Arms’. Then once the new week arrives, you’ll be able to earn a 40% discount off an Established or Distinguished Moonshiner Role item until 14 October by completing a Moonshine sale.

Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are both available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Both are also backwards compatible with PS5 and Series X/S but sadly do not feature new-gen bells and whistles.
