Red Dead Redemption 2 doesn't get the support it deserves from Rockstar Games. You know it. I know it. I'm willing to bet Rockstar knows it too, but there you go.
While Rockstar continues to toil away on GTA VI and deliver consistently huge updates to GTA Online, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online are more or less left to fester, forgotten and unloved. Not by the fans, of course, who have done an amazing job at keeping both games alive.
Take a look at some of the best Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below!
Fortunately, every now and then, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans are thrown a little bone. So it is with the latest update for Red Dead Online, which offers a tiny sliver of new content to enjoy and something resembling an excuse to dive back into the game's gorgeous open world.

"Roaming the frontier in Red Dead Online can be rewarding in its own right, and now doubly so with Free Roam Events paying out 2X RDO$, Gold, and XP through 4 September," Rockstar writes. "Accept Free Roam Event invites to put your skills to the test against other players in these competitive challenges over the next five weeks and complete a Free Roam event each week to receive an assortment of rewards."
As if that wasn't enough, anyone who completes a five-day Daily Challenge streak at any point between 1 August and 4 September will receive an Offer for 5 Gold Bars off one of the following items to help establish the Frontier Pursuit of their choosing: Naturalist Sample Kit, Butcher Table, Bounty Hunter or Prestigious Bounty Hunter License, Moonshine Shack, Collector’s Bag.
