Red Dead Redemption 2 players have created an impressive supply of mods for the game, expanding its map-size, letting players live the life of a bounty hunter, and recently, adding a batch of new missions and challenges.
Modder Shtivi shared their latest creation, RDR- Contracts, on Nexus Mods, which introduces a variety of new missions and contracts to complete in Red Dead’s vast open world. The mods description reads: “This mod adds new, auto-generated, contract missions for you to play.
Over 22 different mission scenarios with hundreds of possbile variations, difficuly levels, challenges and locations!

“Make the best of your weapons and skills and earn money by accepting contracts and assassinating targets around the game's world.”
Completing the missions and some challenges accompanying them will be a good way for players to bag some extra loot, perfect for buying that shiny new revolver you’ve had your deadeye on for a while.
Admittedly, auto-generated missions sound like a lot of fun, and the fact they’re endless means the player can give them a go at any point in their playthrough, both during and in the post-game. These are perfect for players who have experienced everything Rockstar’s Wild-West adventure game has to offer but aren’t willing to start over from scratch in a new playthrough.

That’s not to say seeing and finishing everything the game includes is an easy feat, Rockstar Games seemed dead-set on cramming in as much content as possible to keep the player busy for a while. Aside from the main story, players can take part in multiple side missions, hunt rare animals, fill out Arthur’s journal, and more. In fact, the level of polish and detail Rockstar added to Red Dead’s expansive sandbox is so great; players are still discovering new ways to play and new ways to play, and new sights to see nearly five years after release.
It’s always great to see a game have such a dedicated mod community to keep things fresh and interesting, and if any game deserves to be kept alive for as long as possible, it’d definitely be Red Dead Redemption 2, at least until Grand Theft Auto VI comes out…
