Beloved streamer and Overwatch player Joomla25 has reportedly passed away. As reported by Dexerto, the news was broken by one of the community members in his Discord server.
The streamer, who had over 50 thousand followers on Twitch, was widely recognised for his talent in the game, as well as his positive energy and entertaining personality. Fans and friends alike have been paying tribute to him, and mourning their loss.
“I’m so terribly sorry to let everyone know this. I’ve never had to deliver news like this,” wrote Discord user Yomgie, who first shared the news. “I’ll spare everyone details because it’s a sensitive matter and it doesn’t feel right that I of all people would be the first to know out of everyone. Unfortunately Joom is no longer with us. As I receive any news or updates I will let everyone know, but as of right now I think we need to give the matter some time. Let his family and close ones process this, and let us all mourn as a community.”
“He helped me through so much, cared for me, and defended me time and time again,” wrote b00st3d, speaking in Joomla’s Discord server. “You’re all his family, I know that has been said before - but I really mean that. The amount of times we played games together, he’d talk about you all’s stories like he was talking about a story about a sibling. He was really an empathetic man that I respect so f**king much.”

Countless others have been sharing their memories, too: “I wouldn't be who I am without him. He felt like an older brother, he gave me so much life advice that I think of nearly every day and shaped who I have become as a person,” tweeted @EeveeA. “He was such a kind and amazing ally. He was such a good and proper representation of a gentlemen. Absolute king and always stuck up for trans people and LGBT [people] and women,” added @TheAnaSan.
Our thoughts go out to Joomla’s friends and family at this difficult time.
