PlayStation has dropped a massive batch of new free games that, when combined, add up to an incredible 450 hours of gameplay at least. I didn't really want to go outside this summer, anyway.
Gamers itching for something knew to play for the next couple of months in a desperate ploy to take their minds off of Starfield and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be delighted to know that PlayStation has come to the rescue with a bumper crop of digital adventures.
PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers can get their hands on a whopping 28 new free games throughout the remainder of the month, in a huge selection that ranges from AAA adventures like Far Cry 6 to indie gems like Rogue Legacy 2.

Over on the PlayStation Plus subreddit one fan sat and went through Metagameguide.com, picking out each of the new free games to see what the average review score and playtime for each was. Adding up the assembled games' playtimes, we get over 450 hours of combined gameplay. That's just the average, mind you. Some of the games might take you longer, others might take up even less time. For example, I reckon I can speedrun My Friend Peppa Pig in less than an hour.
Anyway, the full lineup of PS Plus Extra games for the month are as follows... deep breath now: Extra-tier subscribers will soon be able to download and play: Far Cry 6, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Rogue Legacy 2, Inscryption, Soulstice, Tacoma, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Killing Floor 2, Lonely Mountains: Downhill, Vampire: The Masquerade – Coteries of New York, Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator, A Hat in Time, Carto, Forager, Dodgeball Academia, Redout 2, Thief, MX vs ATV Legends, PAW Patrol Mighty Pups: Save Adventure Bay!, My Friend Peppa Pig, DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace, The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition, Elex 2, and The Wild at Heart.
Don't forget that PS Plus Essential subscribers can also grab NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Trek to Yomi.
