Xbox gamers surprised with massive free RPG

Xbox gamers surprised with massive free RPG

It's having an impact on players

It has been a long time coming, but Genshin Impact is finally making its way to Xbox consoles later this year.

The mega-hit from miHoYo has been available to play on PlayStation, Mobile, and PC for years, but now Xbox players will be able to get in on the action.

Did you catch the announcement of Borderlands 4 at Gamescom?

This November, Genshin Impact will be available for free, bringing the cute, gacha gameplay to a bigger audience.

What makes this deal even sweeter is the partnership with Xbox Game Pass, as subscribers will get exclusive rewards and bonuses for playing.

If you’re a multi-platform player, you’ll be able to jump into Genshin Impact on Xbox to reap the rewards before going back to mobile, if you choose.

However, if you’re new to the gacha RPG, you’ll have hundreds, if not thousands, of hours ahead of you in this colourful world.

Xbox president Sarah Bond spoke on the release at Gamescom saying, “I was especially excited to announce that Genshin Impact is coming to Xbox. There's some pretty cool Game Pass rewards that are going to be part of that.”

The game has been a huge hit for every platform and the success doesn’t seem to stop as new characters and expanded areas are released regularly, keeping players coming back.

The RPG is free-to-play and features monetisation through gacha mechanics which randomise characters you can unlock and use.

While spending money does often guarantee you’ll get the characters you love, it’s not integral for enjoying the game and the anime stylings.

If you preorder the game now, you’ll get access to a bunch of rewards that will help you during your playthrough.

HoYo has seen such a boon in popularity that they branched out from Genshin Impact with two more games - Honkai Star Rail and, more recently, Zenless Zone Zero.
