Xbox gamers surprised with massive Game Pass price cut

Xbox gamers surprised with massive Game Pass price cut

Now this is a good deal

Xbox Game Pass is getting a new tier, and a select-few can try it out for just $1/£1, a pretty good deal if you ask me.

Xbox regularly gives its fans the opportunity to get a month of Xbox Game Pass for mere pocket change, though its latest offer is a bit more unique than that.

The company recently announced that it’ll be rolling out a new tier for Xbox Game Pass called Xbox Game Pass Standard.

This new tier will include online multiplayer, as well as access to all current Xbox Game Pass games, with the catch being it neglects day one exclusives.

For access to day one exclusives you’ll need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which recently saw a price increase.

If you’re an Xbox Insider you can try this new tier for just $1/£1, but only for a month, after that it’ll become a regular full-priced subscription so turn off recurring billing if you don’t want to continue paying.

Xbox added a disclaimer to Xbox Game Pass Standard which reads "Some games coming to Game Pass Ultimate (day one games or other game entries) will not be immediately available with Game Pass Standard and may be added to the library at a future date (can be up to 12 months or more and will vary by title). “

It continued “We’ll continue to share with all Game Pass members when games are being added and available to play for each plan."

When the new tier is successfully rolled out to the masses, it’ll provide a slightly cheaper alternative for those not fussed by the latest releases.

Which tier is right for you will depend on your individual preferences, but if you want the most out of the service Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be the one for you.
