If you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you can currently bag yourself a great freebie - and no, I don’t mean a game you can download but that never really belongs to you.
I’m talking about something you can download and keep forever. Ah, now I’ve piqued your interest.
It was always going to be tricky following 2023’s stellar release line-up but 2024 has already brought us several bangers, from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to Helldivers II.

Today though, it’s Persona 3 Reload that I want to draw your attention to.
Persona 3 Reload landed on Game Pass as a day one release. The latest exciting development is that it's now been joined by the brand new Expansion Pass which is officially yours to keep forever.
Take a look at Persona 3 Reload in action below.
Even if you’re not a Game Pass subscriber, it’s going to be cheaper to purchase a month’s access to the service to download the pass than it will be to buy it outright.

The Expansion Pass costs £28.99 in the UK and $34.99 in the US. To compare, Game Pass Ultimate is £12.99 for a month in the UK or $16.99 in the US.
Selected users may also still be able to activate the 14 day free trial for £1 so you could, in theory, secure the pass for just one mere quid or dollar.
The Expansion Pass will be updated in waves. This first wave features additional music tracks from Persona 5 Royal and Persona 4 Golden.
Wave two is expected to land in May and will include Velvet Room themed costumes and music, while the final and third wave will introduce the coveted story expansion Episode Aigis - The Answer.

That final wave is due to drop in September 2024.
In our review of Persona 3 Reload, GAMINGbible’s Sam wrote, “When you evaluate Persona 3 Reload on how well it remakes the original, it’s clear this is an improvement in almost every way. It’s a masterful JRPG with a lot of heart and streamlined gameplay that’s beautifully presented through stunning animations and a fantastic soundtrack.”
There you have it. If you are after the new pass, this is by far the most cost-effective way to nab it.
