Maintaining an Xbox Game Pass subscription is no easy task with prices liable to increase at any time but in the long run, it definitely saves you some money thanks to day one releases and regular additions to the game library.
However, sometimes you just need that extra boost and luckily, some Xbox users have reported that Microsoft is sending out free store credit for seemingly no reason at all.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available across Xbox consoles now. Check its trailer out below!
Either way, we will definitely take it.

With 2025 already seeing multiple high-rated titles being released, we need all the help we can get if we wish to stay on top of our purchases.
From Assassin’s Creed Shadows to Monster Hunter Wilds, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Split Fiction, 2025 is leading the charge when it comes to big releases so any free store credit would be very welcome.
Luckily, one user over on r/xbox has taken to the Reddit channel to reveal that they recently received a message from Microsoft after booting up their Xbox console.
“Check your Xbox messages. I got a free $10 credit,” they revealed.

“I just checked my Xbox messages today and saw the credit. Xbox sent it out on 4/17 so hopefully you all get it. GL!”
It isn’t clear why exactly this user received a random $10 gift card and it seems as though this freebie was not sent out to every Xbox user.
Multiple users in the comments reveal that they have not received a gift card whilst others believe this may be because the original user has not booted up their Xbox for a while and Microsoft may be offering them an incentive.
User bmd201 reveals that this has never happened to them during this Xbox career.

“I’ve had Xbox live since the beta tester days almost 23 years ago on the original Xbox,” they shared.
“Never once have I ever gotten any sort of free gift card from them. No clue how it’s determined who gets them.”
Although it seems as though this wasn’t a worldwide gift, it is definitely worth checking your Xbox messages to see if you were one of the lucky few.
