Do you fancy claiming a well-received game for free right now on Xbox? I assume you do, otherwise, why would you be here?
As a gamer, there are not many better feelings than claiming a whole game for free that requires no subscription to the likes of Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. What’s more, because it’s not subscription-based, unless that game is deleted from all existence, once claimed and downloaded, you can play it whenever you want.

The game in question is the Xbox console exclusive from developer Dontnod Entertainment, Tell Me Why. If you’re familiar with Dontnod Entertainment, then you’ll be familiar with its signature form of storytelling with the likes of Life is Strange and Life is Strange 2, and more recently, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.

While not reaching the critical heights of the first Life is Strange, Tell Me Why has still garnered a respectable score of 78 on the aggregate website, Metacritic. So you know that you’ll be getting a quality game for free.
“Tell Me Why is the multi-award winning episodic adventure game from Dontnod Entertainment in which twins use their supernatural bond to discover the truth of their troubled past,” reads the description of the game.
At this point, it’s practically a Pride tradition that Tell Me Why is being given away for free as it seems every year you can claim this game at no cost whatsoever. However, if you want to claim Tell Me Why for free, you won’t have long because the deal expires at the end of this month.
So that means when July arrives, Tell Me Why will revert to its full RRP of £14.99/$19.99. If you do miss out, Tell Me Why is included in Xbox Game Pass, but if your subscription ends, you’ll lose access to the game until you resub.
