The next Xbox console is reportedly coming next year, and it’s going to have a major launch title, apparently.
Xbox hasn’t been in the best position recently, after closing down multiple studios, seeing PlayStation sell far more consoles, and now a potential price-hike for Xbox Game Pass, it’s in dire need of a new business model.
Adding to its long list of weird decisions, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II launches tomorrow yet Xbox has hardly made any mention of it, check it out below
Yet despite these problems, it’d seem the company is still moving forward with its next piece of hardware, with a release window and launch title seemingly leaking online.

According to insider sources, the next Xbox is planned to launch sometime in late 2026, and will be a true new-gen successor to the Xbox Series X/S.
This isn’t to be confused with a new iteration of the Series X, which leaked during the Microsoft V FTC trial and was relentlessly mocked online for its bizarre design.
What the 2026 console will be called, its specs, and whether there’ll be two or more versions is unknown at the time of writing.
It’s also been suggested that whatever Call Of Duty game releases in 2026 will be an exclusive launch title for the new console, as part of Xbox’s ongoing partnership with Activision-Blizzard.

Recent news suggests the company is finally getting the wheel turning on that partnership, as it’s said a few Call Of Duty games will eventually find their way onto Xbox Game Pass.
If that’s the case it should come as no surprise that a Call Of Duty game would eventually become a launch title for Xbox hardware.
Of course fans should take this with a pinch of salt, as Xbox hasn’t confirmed any of it yet and probably won’t until sometime in 2025, or early 2026.
