Xbox drops 4 free games you can download and play this weekend

Xboxing clever

Xbox gamers can spend their weekend playing one of four games for the low price of nothing at all, because who wants to go outside during summer? Not me.

Yep, Xbox has announced the latest lineup for its ongoing Free Play Days campaign, during which you lucky lot can choose from a selection of releases to download and play free.

This weekend has some real heavy hitters, too. We're talking some of the biggest and most popular releases of the last few years, some serious bangers. Also Skull & Bones.

Let's start with Skull & Bones, shall we? The much-maligned live service pirate sim from Assassin's Creed publisher Ubisoft is free to download and play until 6 June. Whether or not you want to download and play Skull & Bones is a question only you can answer.

If you fancy something a bit more shooty bang-bang, you can download and play Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III until 3 June.

While this one doesn't require Xbox Game Pass, you are limited to the multiplayer and zombies modes. Presumably because you could get through the single-player campaign in about four hours. This is not an exaggeration, to be clear.

Finally, racing fans can get their hands on a trial of Assetto Corsa Competizione, while weeby nerds can indulge in a spot of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Truly, there's something for everyone.

I should stress when I say weeby nerds I am being complimentary, by the way. Some of my best friends are weeby nerds. It's the racing fans you wanna look out for.

To install any of the games you might like the look of, head on over to Xbox.com and search for 'em. From here you can go to the Microsoft Store, though you do need to be signed in to get the option to install the free downloads via your Game Pass membership.
